  • Junetide

    “June-tide”
    The lands now
    Flowing with the rich cloak
    Of emerald and clover
    And the occasional bloom
    Of violet and daffodil.
    A summer’s whisper
    Upon the air

    Awakens the sleeping faeries
With their thrumming wings a glow
    Oberon sits within the pansies
    Weaving them for a crown
    For his beloved
Still dancing in the newly blessed wood
With her court of ladies adorned in lilac
    And feathers of bluebirds

She’ll return at sunset for sure
    To share the sweet nectar
    Of the sun’s golden rays
    And early summer’s fruit
Still lingering with life from the vine

    And where is Pan?
Ah, he is  playing sweetly in lush groves
With his silver flute invoking mischief
    To creature near and far
    He sits upon soft heather
Eagle feather woven through sable locks
    Smiling in-between melodies
    To a wandering dove

    Ah June!
    With your magic woven sweet,
Gentle kisses upon both house and home
    You come bursting with life.
Welcoming all into your radiant arms
    Of peerless blue skies

  • I am the storm

    I am the storm:
    wind rustling through dampened leaves;
    thunder bellowing across the hushed hills;
crooked lightning with it's bright display
    and the rain,
    deep drenching rain,
    myriad tears of the Goddess
everything is a part of me
    and I am unafraid.
    We are all stardust.

  • Shedding

    Shedding off my skin
peeling off the layers of these false friends
    who have gotten underneath
so easily; like dirt within fingernails.
    They only wear me down
The aging flesh looks backwards at me
    from it's twisting path.
    Wrinkled, torn and ravaged
    by false words and promises.
    There is newness underneath;
    fresh Spring dawning.
My steps are lithe once again.
Let the seasons turn the old
    into fragmented leaves
    before the soil devours it.

  • Child of Shadows

    (composed in my sleep)

    I'm a child
    child of the shadows
    of shadows. (hushed in background)
    Everywhere you look,
    you'll find empty mirrors.
I am never there when you want me
    but that's just perfect.

    I'm always alone
    the shadows keep me safe
    tear down all the walls
I'll still be hidden from you.
    I am:

    (CHORUS)(kind of chanted)
    Dark sorcereress
    Wicked witch
    Dream-maiden
    Watcher of the mists

Here I stand waiting for the train
my ticket reads like a foreign language
T19, T22 , what does it all mean?
Here I stand all alone (alone in a triplet, hehe)
and yet something calls to me and I am:

    Dark Sorceress
    Wicked Witch
    Dream-maiden
    Watcher of the mists.

So I disappear into shadow once again
faded from too much time in the sun.
    But you will never notice
    my passing for I am
    eternally alone.

  • (oops been over a month since my last poetry post. I'm bad)

    It hurts you know,
this feeling you just leave me with
    I'm left picking up pieces
    once again.
    I'll let you go
    like you always do
    oblivious to my pain.
    But you'll say it was nothing;
I am overreacting again as I always do
    I'm too emo you say
and laugh while I stand in the ruins.
I'm always left in the wake of other's dreams
I have to paddle twice as hard to regain footing
    but still the deep agony
    returns
I'll just grow an even thicker skin
and no one will notice the difference.

About Me

  • What other words have I but the beatings and flutterings of my own true heart? Spinning through this world, can you see the fringes of time ripping away like a broken piece of tapestry? It is the job of the dreamer to illuminate thus, for those that have not found the light to their perpetual darkness. For within our dark, comes the dreams, the dreams to unlock the mysteries of our very souls.
